#93-Digital Transformation- From the start till the end

--

  1. Does your management have a very clear picture of what digital maturity models in the given industry look like?
  2. What business plan and model does the board have to defend and digitize the core business, expand into adjacencies, and build next wave ventures (disruptive and game-changers)?
  3. What are the general-purpose technologies (AI, Blockchain, Cloud, Data-Analytics) your business will need to achieve the digital leader status? How robust and resilient are your IT architectures, enterprise software, and platforms?
  4. Does your organization have the talent capability and the system to conduct a fair and unbiased ‘Digital Audit’? Talent that can define, monitor, and implement the KPI’s along with adjusting to the industry trends.
  5. Do you know how many XXX of millions/billions of dollars in value can be unlocked through digital transformation—current business model reengineering or new value creation opportunities or both?
  6. Culture eats strategy for breakfast. How do you plan to transform the culture of your organization especially if you are not a digital-native company ( Big-tech, E-commerce, Mobility, OTT, Software, Cloud Company)?
  7. How will you build a hierarchy-free culture based on idea-meritocracy? What are the tangible steps to achieving Un-bossing of the culture?
  8. What is your talent management strategy- attract, retail, and grow?
  9. How will digital transformation impact the 3core areas- Operations (business process, sourcing, procurement, Manufacturing, delivery), Organization (structure, culture, and talent), GTM (go to market, customer journeys)?
  10. How is your business building and finding the right mix of product and platform strategy?
  11. How can your business be the orchestrator of a ‘killer-product or service’ that creates industry-level dependencies?
  12. Do your customers love to do business with you and the competition (partners)feels positively compelled to collaborate with you?
  13. How well-defined is your channel and GTM strategy?
  14. How optimized is your supply chain to absorb all known (demand fluctuations, inventory mismanagement) and unknown shocks (nationalism, trade-related complications)?
  15. Do you have one view of the entire organization and critical business processes (as a digital twin) that give updates on a real-time basis?
  16. What is your data strategy? How do you plan to collect, connect and activate and monetize data across all customer-facing and non-customer-facing processes?
  17. What kind of ecosystems are you building to emerge as a one-stop solution shop for all stakeholders- partner ecosystem, GTM ecosystem, customer ecosystems?
  18. What kind of less asset-heavy ecosystems and platforms can you build in your industry? Are you thinking seriously about Marketplaces, and aggregator models to monetize free assets or surplus supply?
